EVENTS: FRESHERS' FAYRES
Organising a Freshers' Fayre can be a big task; hundreds of new and existing students flocking on campus to see what you can offer them. The National Fresher’s Fayre Report (BAM 2014) showed that over 64% of students only attended Fresher’s Fayre for the freebies on offer, therefore why not entice students with our variety of fun food stalls, including popcorn, candyfloss, slush, doughnuts and hot dogs. Leisure King also keeps up to date with recent trends and our new Selfie Pod has proved extremely popular. Help the new students keep their memories of their Fresher's Fayre with instant photos which can be uploaded straight onto their social media accounts, let’s see if your fayre can go viral! Freshers' Fun Food
Candy Floss Machine
One of our popular pieces of equipment, the candyfloss machine is the perfect sweet treat for your students. Available in a variety of colours and flavours, why not brand the candyfloss to your university colours!
Popcorn Machine
Used previously by University of Surrey and University of London, the popcorn is always hugely popular and is a simple snack to have at your fayre. We can provide an attendant with the machine, or teach the students to make their popcorn, it’s very easy!
Pick’n’Mix Stands
Everyone loves Pick’n’Mix and a stand at your event wouldn’t just excite the students, but staff too! We have all the well-known treats including jelly beans, foam shrimps, love hearts and so much more.
Slush Machine
The slush machine is a must have, all that walking around stalls is thirsty business! Get a chance to chat to the newbies while they grab a drink and get them to join that knitting society!
Freshers' Fun Activities
The Bungee Run
Get the new students to test their physical strength with the Bungee Run. Pit student against student or student against tutor - with a game that has proven popular at past fayres as a team building activity and always provides a laugh!
Strike-A-Light
Break the ice with this fun but addictive game in which students test reaction time and accuracy against the clock. As a freestanding unit, this game is easy for anyone to take part in.
Sumo Suits
Dress up as sumo wrestlers, cowboys and Indians, fighting fairies or bouncers and experience the fun of Sumo Suits! The memories (and the photos) of sumo wrestling will last until graduation day.
Side Stalls
Fresher’s Fayres always attract large numbers and our side stalls are the perfect item to keep them entertained. With a wide variety of stalls and prizes to choose from, you’re sure to find something that suits your fair.
